Project
Navigator has performed as the PRPs' group
project manager at the Waste
Disposal Inc. site in Santa Fe Springs,
CA. On behalf of ExxonMobil and ChevronTexaco we
managed all aspects of the project as follows: |
| |
 |
 |
Development
of a Strategy: We are currently managing
both design and construction efforts at the site.
We have been successful in altering the remedy from
one that involved substantial excavation to a RCRA
equivalent cap remedy. Most importantly, the cap
allows the site to eventually be developed. Remedy
costs have been reduced from >$30MM to less than
$10MM. |
 |
 |
|
Negotiation
with Regulators: The above plan was presented
and negotiated with EPA Region 9 officials. |
 |

|
|
Community
Relations: The community surrounding the
WDI site is highly active and there is a local school
across the street from the site. Due to these sensitive
circumstances, we have worked in close coordination
with school officials and community group leaders
to clearly communicate project information, schedules,
and construction activities. |
